Margaret Homfray’s lectures

I am truly excited to be able to find this on the internet. Montessori World Education Institute is very kind indeed to place video recordings of Margaret Homfray’s lectures covering lessons on Practical Life, Sensorial, Maths and Reading. Margaret Homfray learned and worked very closely with Dr. Montessori from 1930s until the years when Montessori courses were conducted in London at the very early stage of Montessori Education during World War I and II.

Enjoy Miss Homfray’s introduction lecture on infant development related to cognitive and language areas.

  1. Thank you for these videos. I attended three weeks of lectures by Ms. Homfray and her colleague, in Plano, Texas, in 1973. I was impressed then. Now, after 35 years of Montessori teaching, training, observations, etc., I can still be impressed by her calm and elegant presentations, also her knowledge delivered in a no-nonsense and firm manner. She was (is) an amazing master teacher of great integrity.

  2. Beti: brings back memories hah. You are lucky to have at least one good guru in your life. Are you still attached to a school in USA?
