Trick n Treat!

No, no, no,. I am not talking about the Halloween’s Trick n Treat event, though I received a wonderful photo of my ex-colleagues in England and yes, I miss the festive mood during the autumnal October month with pumpkins, witches and brooms. I am talking about treating the little ones and the bigger ones (after the exams) to some activities together with peers and parents this holiday season. I will try to survey for an activity everyday until the last school holiday in January.

Today, I found this fantastic post on Sunway Petting Zoo, claiming to be the largest petting zoo in Malaysia. It was opened last year November at Bandar Sunway’s Extreme Park, “bringing you the most exotic, friendly & “FUNtastic” animals. So no matter what age you may be, there are endless enjoyable experiences to bring home and tell your family and friends.

By the way, some of you might be wondering what is a ‘petting’ zoo. Simply, a ‘petting’ zoo is a place where you can visit animals, pet them and get to feed them as well! Usually a caretaker will be there to supervise and answer your questions. This would be a fabulous opportunity to spend time with your children, as well as for your children to gain some hands-on experience while having fun.

I’m reminded about another petting zoo or farm at Desaru, near where all the resorts and hotels are. For Johoreans, you can make a weekend trip to that place. I didn’t pay a visit there but I tink it’s worth a try. If not for mesmerizing yourself in the sunlight of dawn and dusk and moonlight and crab-catching and camping, and swimming.

I will definitely step into Sunway Petting Zoo when I’m in KL. The Battersea Park Zoo in London which is one of my school’s annual visit destinations is well taken care of, orderly and superbly informative. Staff was friendsly too. Let’s see how Malaysian’s equivalent zoo compare to that.
