Fencing fun for the family

Let your child unleash his or her inner warrior and cultivate good reflexes while learning the art and craft of this exciting sport. I’m not sure whether this sport is a kind of martial sport like in self and defence, or merely a sport like badminton and swimming. I used to join Taekwondo and stopped abruptly and unfortunately at senior brown grade, one more grade before first-dan.

I’m quite suprise to find out that there is a fencing association in Malaysia: Malaysian Fencing Federation, which includes telephone directory of state associations, although it is not completely updated.

Other than knowing that fencing is originated from France, I haven’s a slightest clue what is the sport about. If any readers out there is willing to enlighten me on this subject, I would be the perfect target present.

  1. Fencing is indeed a fun sport. It is mind-stimulating; just like a chess game… except all thoughts and actions are done in split seconds. It is a combat sport. This sport is affordable and safe; contrary to the general perceptions of fencing.
