High/Scope Approach- Short lecture at SEGi College by a UOG Lecturer.

I remember giving a lesson on High/Scope Approach in a class one time. This approach was first introduced by David Weikart, based on the theories of Piaget, Dewey and Vygotsky, to improve schools in the USA which are not performing well academically. I personally find that the best way to discuss about this approach is to use this famous diagram that illustrates the principles of the High/Scope Approach.

Yes, the above diagram is obviously not enough to understand the whole curriculum of this approach, so perhaps to gather more information as a student or parent, you could also attend this  free and short lecture on High/Scope Approach by an academician from University of Greenwich in Malaysia.

And if your passion towards this approach shows tender growth, you might also want to watch this video courtesy of highscope.org to see how the principles can be practised in a classroom.
